Great service Super friendly, especially the bellmen Clean and comfortable In-room service needed a tweak: I had 3 decafs and no regular coffee Power outlets not available for one of the beds
The room was clean and quiet. Good value for the money. Shula's restaurant was very good.
The hotel atmosphere when you walk in is great. We booked our hotel room (king sized bed) through a third party (Kayak) and our reservation was cancelled once we arrived at the hotel. It was a late evening and it had just started to snow outside. Instead of the front desk being accommodating he gave us a more expensive room and didn't want to give us a king sized bed.
The staff was terrific. The room was perfect and nicely decorated. We used the shuttlebus. It's a pet friendly hotel and we were across the hall from a yapping terrier.
Hotel was dirty, you could hear everything in halls and other rooms. Staff took awhile to respond to requests needed.
The comfiest bed and pillows and sheets ever, as soon as you lay down you're out! Thin walls, heard people next door having sexual relations.
I liked the start and the hotel. We had a great time in Roanoke and loved out stay. We will come back!
Bed was clean and VERY comfortable! Room was large with upgrades. Fitness room was spectacular! Normally an advertised fitness room only has two cardio machines and a yoga mat...not the case here! Full set of fumbled free weights, more than 6 cardio machines, and plenty of universal gym machines. This was worthy of a gym membership...but of course included in room. Competing hotels in Toanoke don't offer this. Great value for what was paid $79/night. I'll stay again at that rate! If it were $100+ I likely wouldn't. The ONLY downfall I keep coming back to was the chair in my room. It was worn and ripped, giving it the appearance of a trashier hotel. I cringe writing this bc it doesn't do the hotel service, but needs to be addressed. The entire room was fantastic with exception to that crappy chair. Replace the chair :)
Pet friendly with a nice green space to walk the dog. The staff was very friendly. It looked like the bathroom had not been swept (one dead bug--it is Virginia though, lots of bugs in this state) and a couple of hairs. That is pretty minor though. Starbucks coffee in the room was nice. The bed was comfortable and clean. They started cleaning my floor (3rd floor) around 8:00 am, so make sure to hang the "do not disturb" sign on the door if you want to sleep in at all.
Good bed. Swimming pool didn't look clean
It was a great hotel. I will be returning!
The hotel was nice and clean. The manager went out of her way to make sure I was able to get to the airport on time.
The Wi-Fi and TV were both spotty.
It was clean and comfortable. Nice free breakfast. The girl that was at the desk when we checked in was not very friendly and acted like we were inconveniencing her. She was not welcoming at all.

Location, staff and willingness to work with us were great - especially since they put us in a quiet section with 2 kids.
The location worked for me. Close to lots of eateries and the freeway that leads to my destination since I only stopped for the night on my way through the town. The beds were too small.
The room was clean and average for amenities. The breakfast was bad and the hotel charged the wrong credit card for our stay after we had given them the credit card and they said they had everything correct in the system. The hotel itself is located in a not so nice area.
Staff very friendly, very close to restaurant's, clean. Breakfast wasn't offered as advertised. I was told the hotel customer count was very low. Staff very apologetic! It worked out okay, plenty of restaurants nearby.
Staff was very accommodating to our needs.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Comfort Inn Airport in Roanoke. I was very surprise by the size of the room when I entered, definitely better than expected. The staff was friendly and the location was right near Valley View mall and other amenities. The only 'minor issues' I had was that the readout on the thermometer wasn't in sync with the A/C unit, but the unit operated fine for my needs. I also had to plug the fridge directly into the wall to get enough power to it, but after that all was well.
Helpful desk staff. Breakfast was o.k. road noise
A wonderful old hotel within a walk of the Taubman Art Museum and the downtown market. The old Norfolk and Western station across the street which houses a small museum of railroad photos from the end of the steam era was also nice. The hotel grounds were well-kept and when we visited cherries were in bloom. Valet and bell service was very attentive. We had an excellent breakfast on Saturday with first-rate croissants, fresh fruit, and salmon.
The staff at Hotel Roanoke were the definition of customer service, from the housekeeping staff to the management and everyone in between
24 hrs before checking in I received an email offering 3 alternative upgrades if available at 3 different price premiums above my booked room. I was not able to choose which upgrade I might be interested in.
Location and aesthetics. Parking situation is very inconvenient. Had too far to walk and leaving during a rush (our whole group left at once) with only one attendant took nearly 15 minutes to get out.
Historical nature The executive level was not worth the additional money
Nothing Bed was far to hard to sleep on, Fridge kept me awake I had to turn it off. When the heat came on it sounded like an airplane motor. Décor was from the 1970's, Carpet was stained, furniture was full of holes, shower did not work properly, could not adjust the spray. Light switch at the door would not come on. Room on the second floor, no elevator.
Price great, compared to area hotels. Sheetz 24/7 convenience store across street. Wendy's nearby, walking distance. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker in room. Clean room, small, but adequate. I will stay again on future visits (my daughter attends college nearby). Surrounding area not great. Checkin late night and you deal with the hotel clerk behind thick glass at a small security window, instead of entering the lobby. Coincidentall, the Wendy's dining room is closed after 10pm, but the drive-thru is open. I certainly appreciate the employee safety and security aspect in both instances, but it strongly indicates that the area is high crime. Indeed, at the nearby Sheetz, there were two Sheriff's cars; it looked as if they were dealing with a derelict. I had no issues myself, but I would hesitate staying here if I were a woman travelled alone.
The staff were nice and polite. The outlet by the sink ( for the hair dryer ) was very loose and the plug didn't want to stay connected. The mattress was worn out.
Newly updated room. New furniture. New LED TV. Lamanted floors. Overall a nice room for the money. Large comfy room. The walk from the parking lot to the front desk is a long one. Kinda confusing the way it's set up. Construction still underway.
Easy check in. The hardwood floors made he room seem clean and open. The hotel had recently renovated (I think) and our looked really nice in our room. The breakfast bar had a wide variety and it was clean and tasty. The outside walks and stairs could use some TLC. Not sure if there was an elevator or not. If there was there were no signs indicating where it was. Instead we had to lug our suitcases as well as a two year old up the stairs. Not too big of an issue.
Comfortable bed Although the property was recently renovated, it was done poorly. Paint is already peeling in the bathroom, there were dents in the wall, the caulking was not replaced, just a sloppy job. Housekeeping does a poor job cleaning. Windows are filthy. Management rented out the hotel lobby for a Birthday party on the last night of my stay and allowed for loud music to be played until midnight. The party was loud and kept me awake until they left. I called the front desk to complain ... The staff did not care. A hotels's first priority should always be the comfort of their guests and the cleanliness of the property. This hotel clearly does not care about either one.
WE ONLY PAID 60.00/NIGHT/ROOM FOR TWO DOUBLE-BEDS IN EACH AND IT WAS WORTH THAT PRICE. I WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN HAPPY PAYING MUCH MORE. THE APPEARANCE OF THE ROOMS WAS FANTASTIC BUT THE COMFORT OF THE BEDS AND THE CLEANLINESS COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. IT WAS NOT THE WORST I'VE SEEN, EITHER. MEDIOCRE. THE STAFF WAS VERY NICE. MEDIOCRE PLACE - WORTH 60.00 THOUGH - WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN HAPPY PAYING MORE. CLEAN ENOUGH AND COMFY ENOUGH - COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. WOULDN'T HAVE WANTED TO STAY LONGER THAN ONE OR TWO NIGHTS. FUNCTIONAL NOT RELAXING - DON'T STAY HERE IF YOU'RE VACATIONING.
