Large quiet rooms with a hot tub on the balcony a treat! The free breakfast was outstanding.
The all inclusive breakfast was great! The hot tub didn't warm up until 9 at night.
The lobby has a warm and inviting stone fireplace with plenty of cozy couches and chairs to relax in while reading the paper and sipping your coffee or tea. Rooms are well furnished with large bath fireplace and hot tubs on the balcony. Wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the new happy hour and breakfast :)
On our friend's recommendation, we decided to spend our third anniversary night at The Dolphin Bay Inn Resort. We were initially bit skeptical on the price, but the comfort, reception and the wonderful time both me & my wife experienced is worth mentioning. We got in touch with Erica who is the Manager at the Resort. She ensure in every possible way she could that our stay would be memorable. From getting us the best 1BR suite, to having it ready before time, to patiently attending all our requests, she was phenomenal. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to spend the special night with your special one. We would definitely love to come back again Thanks, Debopriya & Abhijit From Mountain View, CA
Came here for our anniversary and was very pleased with the luxurious apartment-like room we had, amazing view and top notch customer service. The surrounding area offered plenty to do when we weren't enjoying the view from our amazing room or walking along the beach. Will most definitely stay here again!
We're seasoned first class travelers, and we LOVE this place! We've been 3 times now, in the last year. Dolphin Bay has so much going for it: The rooms are casual/chic/comfortable (we always stay in the 3rd flr corner penthouse) and it feels more like a home than a hotel room. The location is super-relaxing, gorgeous views, and we love watching the dolphins swim by, the surfers surf, etc., from our balcony. All the food we've had was excellent, and customer service has been great as well. It just has a great vibe-I don't know how else to put it. And we've been to the 4 Seasons, the Wynn, The Ritz-all kinds of stellar hotels. We love the Doplhin because it feels like home! Check out the killer gourmet grocery store half a block away, and drive onto the pier (yes, onto it, and park there) at Avila Beach. (you can see it from the hotel) Tons of marine life-sea lions, etc, live around the pier, and under it; there's an old-school restaurant and fish market there, etc. Just a fun diversio...
While looking for options to spend our third anniversary night (which happened to be on a weekend this year) one of our friends suggested we try out Dolphin Bay Resort. Looking at the website, we decided to give this a try. We made a phone call to book a reservation for one night and happen to talk to the Manager, Erica. She was very helpful with the reservation process & after hearing that it was our anniversary she said she would make our stay special. We spent one night at the resort and we were very happy with our stay. Erica even had the room ready couple of hours before and arranged some special stuff for our anniversary. We got the best 1BR suite and the views were ecstatic. We would highly recommend the resort to anyone who would want to spend a day or two with their special one.
We drove through Pismo during a busy weekend and were fearful that this hotel would be in the heart of the busy section. As it turned out the hotel was just to the north of the action and ended up to be quite the oasis, away from the hectic Pismo Beach area. The room was amazing. One of the best suites style rooms we've stayed at. The hotel staff was great and very helpful. The rooms have relly nice full kitchens so you can eat in if you choose. I suggest finding the large grocery store about 1 mile south off hwy101 if you want to buy groceries. There is a small refined grocery store about 2 blocks from the hotel but it's very....very expensive. Great areas to explore if you drive north towards Ragged Point.
Luxury, Privacy, good food, friendly staff and beautiful location. Not very occupied although the surrounding hotels appeared to be very busy. In time this find will be discovered and we will have to share, will definately travel to this resort again. I understand the units were originally intended for sale but have changed to this resort, wish we could own one. One problem that the Hotel did straighten out was a deserved change of rooms, our selected room was a 'partial view' you would have had to walk out onto deck turn your head over to the far right and then you could spot the ocean between 2 buildings. They said it was a mistake and was being corrected that department, which I did not feel was my problem, so they were willing to honor what I felt was the proper view for the rate I agreed to. This started the trip off on the right note and the rest of the stay was a pleasure.
This hotel made me feel at home and not at a hotel. From the moment we pulled up at he door to the time we left we were treated as guests should be treated - welcomed and appreciated. The rooms were well cleaned and maintained. This is the place to stay for someone who wants to relax and be pampered.
By far the best hotel on the central coast. The rooms are immaculate and the hotel in general cannot be beat.
Great location, with private beach access. Every room is facing the water and has a balcony so you have the most relaxing and amazing sunset/sunrise views. You're a short drive to the shell beach restaurants and to grover beach's downtown area with more great bars and restaurants. 10 minutes to the dunes. Highly suggested, we will definitely be back :)
Great complimentary breakfast. Terrific outdoor games (badminton, putting green, ping pong, etc). Easy access to the beach.
My husband and I stayed at the suite for his birthday weekend. The suite was very nice, clean and comfortable. Bigger than what I expected....breakfast was amazing I will return the summer with my kids next time because it was very kid friendly. I requested partial view of the ocean but that may be misleading since I really didn't see the ocean view from my window
Very nice hotel, on a cliff top over beautiful Pismo beach.... The beach is easily accesible via a wooden stair structure shared by a couple more hotels... ( Lighthouse Suites is at the end of the line of hotels, so no neighbours wondering in front of your hotel rooms!) Great and helpful staff, in general a very joyful and relaxed atmosphere! Rooms are large (very much so) and clean, beds are comfy. Breakfast is, howeve,r not up to par.... Not bad to be honest, but just a few bread rolls, jam, butter, 3 types of fruit and yoghurt (coffee and orange juice too), are way far away from the promised "Continental breakfast"!! Plastic cuttlery and cups further support this case.
