The hotel is amazing and at a perfect view right on the Beach. It was an overall terrible experience, I had 2 nights and it was pricy but I was willing to pay some extra money to enjoy my vacation, the first night the room next to me had a party with a music that was so loud and when I complained, they changed my room and I had to pack my stuff and walk to the other tower for another room at 1:30 am, there was no security and rooms were packed with at least 5 or 6 teenagers and they were so noisy and again no security or someone who can ask them to lower the noise at least at night time, 2nd night had a false fire alarm and had to evacuate the whole hotel and that took about 3 hours to resolve, got back to my room at 1 am, that might be a bad luck so that won't be the case for everyone but once again the hotel had no kind of security or manager that take care of the guests and provide a quiet, relaxing time for their guests vacation.
Staff Room al
Proximity to everything and friendly staff. Went down for the bike rally and was charged excessivly for parking. I was charged to park my truck, my trailer and even charged to park my bike at the hotel for a grand total of $204.00 for 4 days.
The hotel was nice, clean and the staff were all very helpful. The restaurants offered good food (especially Hyde Park) and the pool area was fun to hang out in. The beach access was excellent and we enjoyed the ease of leaving at night to go on walks down the beach front. We didn't stay in Daytona much as we travelled to St. Augustine and Coca Beach but the hotel is a good half way point for both places. The food and beverages are really expensive and if you just add them to your room expense instead of paying cash the cost will add up quickly! The rooms are clean but very basic and had a little wear and tear. No refrigerator in our room nor a trash can in the bathroom which is just strange not to have. The windows and walls are very thin so you hear all the noise from the Amusement park which is right next to the hotel if you stay on the south side of the hotel. Valet is always nice but for $22/night again can add up quickly but they were very fast in getting my car!
the rooms were spacious and nice. The check in lady was very helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay great. I would definitely recommend staying here nothing
The front counter staff needs to be better trained on how to handle customers who book the hotel through third party sites like Kayak, Priceline, Expedia, etc.
Loved the location to the beach and the staff was awesome The window in our room was not sealed all the way, we had a view of literally only the roof, and the pool seemed small for a hotwl of that size. It was always packed.
Staff was friendly and helpful to an extent, the hidden fees were your surprise when checking out. All the add on fees are terrible!
I liked that everything was close to hotel. There was garbage in stairwells and so many homeless people hanging around.
The view and the facilities were worth it. Paying for parking, which was across the street... Very inconvenient.
The location on the Daytona oceanfront can't be beat. We have stayed here every spring break for the past 5 years. I must say, it has gone downhill. Everything is just looking shabby. Our room smelled moldy. The staff were incredibly rude on several occasions. we paid a premium price for Motel 6 service. We'll be looking for different accommodations next year.
Hotel was very clean and loved the pool area and sitting out by the pool making sites each evening..... Restaurant was a bit too expensive and I didn't like that they charged an extra $10 Per day for parking when you were already a guest at the hotel....
Ridiculous hidden fees, but that's not what ruined my stay. My wife and I checked in late at night and did not fall asleep until 2am. No problem though, right? I mean, checkout is at 11am so we can get our 8 hours and still checkout on time. Wrong. At 7:59am, we get a tapping on the door. We ignored it the first 3 times, but on the fourth I jumped out of bed and answered the door. A polite maid asked me if I was ready to checkout. I said "No, I'm sleeping. I thought 11am was checkout?" She said, "It is. Would you like to checkout now?" It almost seemed like a gag, but I wasn't laughing and neither was she. I shooed her away and immediately called the front desk. After being given the runaround about the manager being in a "business meeting" (really, at 8am?, the resort morning supervisor is in a meeting with who at 8am?) I was finally connected to a guy who sounded like he was talking to me at the gas pump. "What up man, what can I do for you?" I told him the story and he said "Yeah, it's just a courtesy checkout knock. No problem." No, Shores, it was a huge problem. I will never return.
COMING HOME DIDNT GET THE ROOM WE BOOKED. WHEN ASKED IF I COULD GET THE ROOM I BOOKED WAS JERKED AROUND. HAD TO SLEEP ON A PULL OUT THAT WAS HORRID FOR 6 DAYS.
Beach front Everything is falling apart. Beach bar staff unfriendly, no toothbrush provided by hotel, can't open windows that are dirty anyways...
Close to the beach Facility was a bit run down and could use some repair/updating. Window was broken in room so it could not be locked. Bits of garbage and someone's pill left in the carpet.
The room was excellent and the ocean front view was awesome. Food quality can be better. The restaurant and food choices are not that great.
The food was great, superb breakfast, gorgeous oceanfront area, nice clean pool, pretty room, gorgeous four post canopy king bed, very comfortable! I really enjoyed our stay! The dinner was a little pricey but still very good and great service!
Had a geat stay! Staff was great moved to hptel from another hotel down street that was discusting The staff bent over backwards to get us right in our rooms so we could get ready for a 1:00 function we had to go to. Everything ws good rooms food bar pool and hot tub very inviting. Paying for self parking it was accross and elevator was out of order..
Great location, service, whole nine yards. Older, like 99% of the hotels in Daytona, but very well maintained. Bed was awesome, room was nicely appointed. Service was great, definitely four star. Met some locals who had stopped in for the evening and they said this is the best one and where they stay if they move away and then come back to visit. Its a little far from the action if your a spring breaker and might be a little to uppity for that type of clientele. We got a good deal watching the prices so we are extremely satisfied. Restaurant looked nice but out of our budget. Locals said it was the valentine/birthday restaurant of choice. Did get their lunch poolside though and that was priced decent and was good. The grounds where well maintained and setup very nicely. Liked how they had a bridge over a busy road for the self parking lot. Outdoor gas fire pits where a nice touch for a quite evening by the Ocean. All in All was extremely pleased with our stay and would definitely stay again. Others mentioned parking costs and resort fee but we knew of those costs upfront and still the overall cost was competitive with other hotels on the beach. Towels seem to run out fast and there was a long delay for fresh ones. We had a partial ocean view with no balcony. This wasn't a problem until we go to open a window and they are screwed shut. Understand it could be a safety concern but wife was really disappointing we couldn't hear the ocean at night.
Great location and really good pricing. Great room. Very pleased all around.
I liked the smores by the shore and comfortable beds I didnt like the hidden charges they charge for a refrigerator key per day and parking and resort fees its ridiculous also the elevator didnt work to the outside one day.
Courteous, helpful, professional staff.
Quieter, less crowded beach. Good for families with small children. Small, slow elevators. Not enough parking.
The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff was very friendly and willing to answer all of our questions. Breakfast was also one of the best continental breakfasts I've ever had. Loved how close we were to the beach and that we could include the beach chair rentals to our room. Definitely a place for the family. I stayed here on vacation with my boyfriend and we were surrounded by children. I was also uncomfortable at one point when one of the employees asked me if I was on my way downstairs to meet up with my husband and kids.
I liked the ocean front , also that everything was in walking distance My room , the bed wasn't comfortable, which is why we stay @ Hampton , the room was handicap accessible but it was super small so how can a wheel chair fit in there, then the bathroom had no vanity , all of my items got wet from the room holding much moisture when the AC was in use. The furniture in my room didn't look updated. If it had not been for the Hampton Inn logos I would've thought I was in a motel 6 . This hotel needs to be updated, the rooms that is. The foyer & lobby area is beautiful , but the minute I stepped in my room it was pure disappointment. The closet I could hang my cloths in because the rack was to low, then there's the table top ironing board. I have to say as a hilton honors member , this was the worse Hampton I've stayed @. The outside beauty saved me from asking for a refund .
