I went with my 24yr old son. We enjoyed the natural beauty of Casa de Campo but I think we missed a little bit of night life. Unless you went to La Marina (after 11:00 pm everybody starts leaving) or Altos de Chavon(the discoteque starts after 11 pm there was no other place to hear music (at least for younger people. Other than that I enjoyed the trails for my jogging, the beautiful beaches and the neat golf car that the hotel provides. I wished to have stayed longer as to enjoy other activities that the hotel offer. I was mostly visiting a friends house which is in Casa de Campo, so hopefully I will visit Casa de Campo again, though maybe I will stay in one of the villas which are so beautiful.. I do think that the hotel needs a little face lift. My fiirst stay at the hotel was twenty years ago and it shows that the years have gone by.
The Italian village is a must see. Staff were friendly. Rooms were dated and needed more cleaning and polishing. Some incidental charges were added to our account for restaurants we didn't even been to. It was an honest mistake and management fixed it.
Loved everything. We got the all inclusive and food was outstanding, nothing like regular all inclusives. We like it so much we went back and rented a villa w maid and buttler
The staff was very unfriendly, unhelpful, and knowledgeable!
The beach very unfrendly service. the hotel was to big for me. i leaved one day earlyer as planned and nobody asked me why. one of the barmen did not knew to prepare a mochito - instead he prepared a capirinha. noone from the staff is greeting the guest by passing (there where only 2-3 who made an exception). to few employees for to much guests. the food was not very good. a hotel that i would never ever visit again.
Being on the beach . overpriced for the food and service . Our special valentines dinner which cost extra got ruined by their poor service and there was no compensation. The people who book excursions just want to sign you up with some kind of activity and forget to tell you details . Most importantly poor English so lack of communication
It was a great stay. Employees were very nice and carring. I liked all the activities they had. It was perfect for what we went to do. They at least need to have a faster accesss to internet in the lobby. Wifi was useless.
Don't know We didn't like receiving a call on our way to the resort and being told that there was a mistake and that there were no rooms available because they were sold out. This was on our way to the place so we had to head back home. This after my card had been charged and the booking confirmed, now I have to wait up to a week to receive my refund. This is totally unacceptable in my book.
