Schönes sauberes Zimmer, schöne Lage am See. Frühstück für 12,00 €/Person.
location rude waiter at dinner (didn't eat there again); no hair conditioner in bathroom
The location of the hotel is excellent, overlooking the beach and not too long a walk to restaurants. Pool area is excellent. Room very comfortable. Food and drinks in the hotel are very expensive.
Everything the service and room was excellant no
Overall the service was impeccable. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The quality and cleanliness of the rooms is second to none. I have stayed at this hotel before and will do again - I look forward to it. For some reason this time, the breakfast service was poor. The staff were 'distant' and seemed to be falling out amongst themselves. On one day, we didn't get our coffee for about 20 minutes and on another, the restaurant ran out of plates, so people were putting bread, cooked breakfast etc in a cereal bowl. There seemed to be no urgency, nor desire to provide a good service. This was a pity and contrary to every other service in the hotel.
The bedrooms were extremely comfortable and tastefully furnished. The pool area and spa were fantastic with wonderful views over the crashing waves. It is a wonderful beach location. We were led to believe from the web site that all rooms had sea views. This is totally wrong and you only get a sea view if you pay a premium price. We were disappoointed to be given a room at the side of the hotel immediately above the staff smoking area. This was our biggest complaint. Our other complaint was the cost of meals in the hotel. Breakfast was 28 euros each and we were not prepared to spend another 56 euros every day for breakfast, so we were reluctantly forced to go out for breakfast every day. Had breakfast been more realistically priced at say 15 to 20 euros per person then we would have had breakfast in the hotel.
The location was superb right on the sea front . Rooms quite spacious with comfortable beds and bedding. The indoor and outdoor pools were heated with plenty of sunbeds
Location and ocean-side views over-priced food and drinks
beds were comfortable Reception staff were good at check-in. Concierge staff make a very good effort waited 15 minutes for valet to get my car, while other guests were more important. during this time, one valet was loading another guests car, another was told by the reception to take bags to a room, although I had pointed out that I had been waiting for my car for a long time. food was extortionately expensive. breakfast quickly became boring. room service most expensive, and most limited I have ever come across. we once tried to have lunch at the hotel, but despite asking the restaurant hostess to point out to the staff that we had been at our table for a long time, with no service, we eventually just left, having not had our order taken, and run out of time in our schedule.
It was a lovely 10 minute walk along promenade into town centre, a walk we enjoyed a couple of times a day! Also spa in hotel was really nice. Beds were huge and really comfortable. Had a great weekend in Biarritz!!
