Our little peninsula has been a Northwoods getaway for the past century. Formerly Mallard Point Resort, we're keeping the tradition alive by welcoming guests at two of the cabins. This is a place where you can expect to see other guests and share outdoor spaces. The owners currently live on the property part-time, although you can have the place to yourself if you rent both cabins. We're less than 10 minutes from downtown and 20 minutes from Tioga MTB trails. This listing is for Cabin 2 only. Cabin 2 is a combination of modern and rustic, with natural wood finishes, an open living and dining space, and a kitchen and bathroom stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. ⇸ High ceilings with large windows that face south for views of the lake and lots of natural light. ⇸ Gas range and kitchen stocked with all the essentials- cookware, dishes, coffee, soaps, towels, etc. ⇸ Loft with a quality king-sized bed and ground floor bedroom with two twin beds. ⇸ Fully winterized with a gas fireplace. ⇸ We allow families of 5 if you have a child in a travel crib. ⇸ Fast WiFi - 250mb up/down What We Love About It We love the access to the lake, it's so easy to get out paddling, fishing, sailing, snowshoeing, or just take in the views from an Adirondack chair. You can expect to see other guests or our family enjoying the beach, grilling out, or fishing on the dock. You'll also likely see otters, beavers, loons, and eagles just outside your door. Prairie Lake is quiet and has little boat traffic, stretches of undeveloped shoreline, and a picturesque gorge at the southern end. The water is shallow and gradual along our little sand beach for small children to play. The property is a recently renovated hotel that has a bistro and bar onsite along with a yurt for our guests to enjoy watching tv or play board games in. The 2 bedroom suite features 1 king size bed,1 queen size bed,1 twin size bunk bed. Two separate bedrooms. One full-size bathroom. Full-size kitchen including stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee maker and breakfast bar, high speed wired, wireless internet, desks and chairs, and full-size living room/space which includes a pull out couch.
