The rooms were modern and very comfortable. Air-con, fridge, flat screen. Very clean. Not much else going on at the guesthouse, but it is very close to the go-to bars and restaurants in new town (across the street. 7-11 also. They rent motorbikes on site, and it's about a 10-15 minute to Sukhothai Park where the ruins are located. The lady running the joint was extremely pleasant, even after we made a bit too much noise one night. Never felt pressured into anything, never felt like we were in trouble. She was also very helpful, despite the slight language barrier. She knows enough English to be proficient in assisting her guests. For the price we paid there, could not be happier. Definitely stay here if your looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.
I liked everything, but if you're looking for something with more of a backpacker social vibe, maybe try one of the places across the way (near the Chopper Bar). Pai Guesthouse seemed like nice joint.
