The hotel room was clean, quiet and spacious. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The Cracker Barrel restaurant across the street was convenient and delicious. I'd definitely recommend this hotel!
Clean room. Plenty of towels. Friendly staff. Easy check-in and check-out. Shower had a obvious crack and you tell they tried to cover it... No DVD player
Chose this hotel because of indoor pool and complimentary breakfast which I saw as great features for the two 5 yo kids and for my baby boomer parents. 1) The hotel consisted of a number of disjointed buildings which was a hassle with the rain. 2) Customer service at the front desk level was horrible. I asked for a few extra bags of caffeinated coffee and was told that there was " Not anymore caffeinated coffee in the entire hotel". Luckily the maids reached into their carts and obliged with terrific attitudes. 3) Staff working the complimentary breakfast gave NO smiles and appeared to be annoyed that ppl showed up. We received a prepackaged cereal box that had been obviously opened previously. 4) Rooms were small, poorly cleaned, & lacking in soap, towels (of all sizes), and toiletries, including toilet paper! There was one (1) bar of soap and 3 towels for a room booked for 3 adults and 2 tots. Overall experience: POOR I would not stay there again!
Liked having breakfast at the inn. It was quite good, although they picked up immediately at the closing time! With the two restaurants next store didn't mind not being able to eat at the inn. Main problem with location was trying to get to the inn from the main highway. Had problem accessing Frontage Rd.( I think that was the name), particularly at night.
there was nothing to like. we were too tired to go somewhere else. flies breeding in our room, hair in the bathtub, carpet frayed and pulling up, short of towels, we received a free with our room breakfast but were afraid to eat it.
We were turned away because they do not rent to locals? Very odd policy. Turned out to be good for us because the Holiday Inn across the street was much cleaner.
I liked the design of the pool and the people we met while staying there. I liked that they gave us two beds when we accidentally clicked to reserve one, and I liked the way they designed the bathroom, with the sink in a corner vs taking up a whole wall. But after that my review goes down hill. When we drove up we thought the place was closed, all the windows were darkened on the most prominent building. We weaved our way through the crumbling parking lot and then decovered the real front entrance. Behind a lg fix-it van a long haired man was laying on his back in the grass to the right of the doors. We made our way inside and the staff greatest us with dead eyes and no smiles. I glanced out to the pool we were so looking forward to and I noted the grass was overgrown and there were beer bottles and cigarett butts here and there. Gross. We had to wait extra long for the computers to load but we finally got a room without any friendly exchang from the desk worker. Our room was clean but smelled like it was sprayed down with old cologne. Most of the furnishings were pretty beat up but the beds were nice. I later had to take a trip to our car and noticed how untrimmed and unkempt the landscaping was. We couldn't decide if we wanted breakfast there or out but it's a good thing we chose to enjoy sleeping in because at 8 the place was busting with people but the staff couldn't catch up because they were still setting up. There was some hot items out but most people were waiting on forks and spoons or milk. Needless to say I was sad we didn't rebook at Comfort Suits over by Cracker Barrel were we booked on our way to TX, we felt pampered there and paid about the same if not less.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Bathroom was fairly clean but random hairs, humid room could be addressed.
I liked the cleanliness, the layout, and overall ambiance. The pillows were rocks!
I stayed one night at Courtyard Alexandria for a business trip. Once I arrived, parking was great, the staff was very welcoming, and the lobby was actually active with people at the bar or just hanging out with friends, etc. The check in process was very quick which was great after a long day of traveling and work. The room was clean, spacious, and had all of the amenities I was looking for. Microwave, coffee machine, and the refrigerator were great to have. The location was great as there were many restaurants and stores within walking distance or a few minutes drive. I had a hard time finding the place initially because it's behind other businesses and fast food restaurants. But after driving around the area for a while, I finally found access to the hotel. A sign from the street saying "enter here for Courtyard Marriott" might have been helpful.
The location was perfect for the purpose of our trip. Hotel staff were accommodating. The breakfast was a bit lacking.
bed was comfortable, room was clean There was smoking on my floor and I was not informed of this when I checked in. I am not used to there being smoking inside anymore and i didn't think to ask. I am not a smoker. The hall smelled like cigarette smoke as well as my room. The front desk person told me that there was a smoking suite on the 2nd floor where my room was, but that there were no other rooms available. There was an ashtray in my room, but she said my room was not a smoking room. There was not any signs saying no smoking though. Luckily the window opened and it was cool enough outside to sleep with the window open.
