The staff of the hotel are like vultures waiting for tips and asking for tips. The bed is hard as a rock, and the hotel is very loud. There was music playing 24 hours a day, where rooms are located. We requested the hotel staff to turn the music down but the music kept on playing. We requested the hotel staff and the duty manager to refund the money back to us as we had decided to go to a different hotel, but the staff refused. This was a nightmare for us, we checked out of the hotel and checked into a different hotel, foregoing our money for four days.
I booked this hotel online and I would like to thank travel website. Its the very best Hotel I ever had stayed in India. The Service and the Rooms where uptodate, very good service by the front desk, restaurant, etc etc. I will sure go back to this hotel again when I am in Mumbai, I will give this Hotel 100%.
I had a fantastic stay with this hotel , and it was a beautiful propertyto stay in Mumbai
I stayed in the Sahara Star hotel twice on this trip. It was the best I have ever visited in my travels around the world. Great Rooms, Breakfast was the best, and customer service was over the top. I will make it a point to stop in Mumbai when ever possible just to enjoy the stay. Very close to the airport. You would never know from the outside what you would find on the inside. They are doing construction so the outdoor pool was closed but all inside venues were the best. Great for a romantic get away with your special someone.
Enjoyed the stay. Service was good. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was fabulous. Very convenient location. Restaurants were excellent. Highly reccommend it.
Proximity to domestic airport Musty smell in the room, damp bed linens Food - pricy and mediocre Nothing to see within walking distance
The staff and the grill on the rooftop Rooms need a renovation. Very dated look. Also it says free wifi and breakfast but they somehow charge for those items as well if you dont pick the right "package"
Overall hotel, service, breakfast, cleanliness Rooms could be upgraded a bit, but they are comfortable overall.
The location to the airport is very convenient. They also have lots of cars for airport pick-up and drop off. The rooms were clean. If time to and from airport is important, then this is a very good hotel. First, they charge for Internet. In today's day an age, where the Internet is free in airports and McDonald's, to charge for Internet (especially to a hotel that is largely for business people, is ridiculous. Second, the quality of everything is not 5 stars as advertizing. Over-all, I would rate the hotel 3.5 stars. But, both the facilities and the staff training needs to be improved just to bring it to 4 stars.
I sometimes stay at a south mumbai hotel...usally it's a hilton towers.\n This time i stayed at the new rooms at Taj President. I think it;s\n the premium category.\n\nThe combination of darkwood, silk, stone and glass couldn't have been\n better. \n\nReally classy....\n\nThe service was always a plus point of this hotel...now the rooms are\n inviting too. \n\nI highly recommend this hotel for people who are looking at spending\n USD 400 plus for a room. Especially, the hilton towers can get boring\n after sometime. the service is ok and no one recognises you or offers to\n be of assistance....that's a trait some people from my country\n like...but for me...when it;s USD 400 i'm paying...i deserve some attention and\n genuine care...and that is waht i got from Taj President.\n\n
Beautiful hotel and good security. Staff forgot to leave hand towels one time and face clothes another. Overall it was a nice place to stay.
Taj President was a great top-end hotel. It is well located in Mumbai, and very walkable to tourist attractions. The hotel had excellent service and good hotel amenities. In particular, it was convenient to have good restaurants downstairs that were open at all hours. The rates were typical for high-end hotels in this area of Mumbai. Some travellers may find the rooms on the small side, but the rooms were well-appointed and very comfortable.
Pretty good hotel with above average facilities. Its best feature is the proximity to the Gateway to India and other similar tourist attractions. The Indian restaurant was exceptionally good and the general bar area, which also serves snacks, was also good. I was disappointed with the Thai restaurant and, as a seasoned traveller with a special liking for Thai food, I found the Tom Yam poor and even though I requested a 'spicy' green curry it was not anywhere near. The hotel is quite expensive but this is relative in India where everything is really inexpensive. As a comparison, it is almost double the price for food and drink as it is in Goa. Overall I would recommend the hotel as the service is good, as are the rooms and facilities. The risk is from the journey from the airport to the hotel - the taxi drivers are suicidal. However, the journey would have to be made regardless of hotel choice.
ROOM, Like holiday inn.
We liked everything about the hotel, the rooms were very comfortable, the restaurants were extremely great, the staff was very hospital, friendly and professional, the location was convenient to many attractions and the hotel itself was simply gorgeous. There was nothing we did t like about the hotel. Hopefully we will return to it again soon
