To ski back to The View you can take either the Peruvian Express or Tram and then follow the signs for the "Fun Run" or Chips – this is marked with blue trail markers. Follow this down to Whodunnit – this will initially be a cat track. You want to stay on the cat track when Whodunnit turns downhill and you will be back at your starting point. And how do you get to Alta? The Alta Resort Shuttle has a pick up spot right outside the door to the View Condominiums. This shuttle makes a continuous loop of the Bypass Road during daytime hours. The shuttle runs continuously during the day. It will typically take just a few minutes to get up to the Collins or Sunnyside base areas at Alta. After skiing, you can utilize this same shuttle to bring you back to the property or you can ski home from Alta via an off-piste advanced run. How do I get from the Superior Point Condominiums to Alta and Snowbird? Superior Point Condominiums are located just above the Wasatch Powderbird Heliport right along the Bypass Road, above the Cliff Lodge and Snowbird Center. The Bypass Road starts at Snowbird Entry Four and follows the curve of the mountain on up to Alta. Although technically located in the Town of Alta, these condominiums are physically closer to Snowbird. As Superior Point are the closest condominiums to Snowbird, skiing down to start your ski day is quick and easy. To get to Snowbird, you would walk up a short driveway, cross the Bypass Road, step into your skis and ski down to Snowbird. This trail follows the road and joins up with the bottom of the “Whodunnit” run. From there it is a short distance to Peruvian Express, The Snowbird Center and Tram or you can make your way over to the Wilbere Lift or the Gad Valley (Gadzoom and Midgad Lifts). Many day skiers park at the area near the heli-port and use this as their access to Snowbird. At the end of the day, there are multiple ways to get home from Snowbird. To ski back to Superior Point, you can take either the Peruvian Express or Tram and then follow the signs for the "Fun Run" or Chips – this is marked with blue trail markers. Follow this down to “Whodunnit” – this will initially be a cat track. You can either stay higher up and ski down past The View and the Village at Sugarplum through the trees back to Superior Point or you can ski on a lower path that puts you close to the driveway that you started from. To get to Alta from Superior Point, you can jump on the Alta Resort Shuttle which makes a continuous loop of the Bypass Road during daytime hours. It will typically take just a few minutes to get up to the Collins or Sunnyside base areas at Alta. After skiing, you can utilize this same shuttle to bring you back to the property. You can ski back to Superior Point from Alta if you are an advanced off-piste skier. The Alta Resort Shuttle operates mid-December to early-April. There is a flight of stairs to reach level one and the Mount Baldy and Flagstaff units are located on levels two and three respectively. NEARBY PROPERTIES: PhotoHaus Flagstaff The Flagstaff and the Baldy Photohaus have a fantastic location, just across the street from the Alta Ski Area. If you are familiar with Alta, these two units are just across the street from the Alta Lodge. So in the morning, you have two options to get to Alta. You can either jump on the Free Alta Resort Shuttle or ski down. The Resort Shuttle stops right by the house and will take you to either the Sunnyside base area for beginners or it will also take you to the Collins Base. If you want to ski, you can just walk across the street, down perhaps 10 Alta Lodge stairs to step into your skis to ski down to the Collins base (or jump on the rope tow to go to the Sunnyside base). To return home at the end of the ski day, you can either ride the Resort Shuttle again or you can jump on the Alta Lodge rope tow to go uphill to get back to the stairs that you started from that morning. To get to Snowbird to go skiing, you would just take that Alta Resort Shuttle to The View Condominiums stop to ski down the intermediate “Whodunnit” run to Snowbird. At the end of the day, you can return to that same location to hop back on the Resort Shuttle to go back to the Photohaus. Important note: Alta Resort Shuttle runs mid-December to early April.

The complimentary shuttle to both Alta and Snowbird runs daily from the last week of December to the first week of April. INTERLODGE Interlodge is a restriction on outdoor travel and activity ordered by the Alta Town Marshall. The Marshal's office, and/or Snowbird Safety, may require, at any time, that guests stay indoors until avalanche control and road danger is mitigated. Sometimes it involves the whole Alta/Snowbird area and sometimes just certain sections in the canyon. The Alta Town Marshall and Snowbird Safety work hard to keep everyone in the area safe with little disruption to outdoor recreation. These events are beyond our control in our winter playground. Usually, avalanche work commences in the early morning hours and is completed before the resorts open - but there are occasions when interlodge can be put into effect during the day and guests can be housebound for longer periods of time.
